The building seems to be re-purposed, maybe it is or was a grocery store during off months or something like that. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the fried scallops and got my fries poutined. It came with green peas. Our food was ready pretty quickly, and we sat outside in the breeze. I received a good amount of scallops and fries, enough fries to share with the family. Everything tasted great for a good price and good portions. Based upon the portion size, the good taste and reasonable prices, I would rate this restaurant a 4.75, which I rounded up to 5 stars. It was nothing fancy with a relaxed atmosphere, but I would go back if I went back to the Cavendish area. Locals seemed to be stopping by quite a bit while we were there, so that says something for the value. They also have free wifi.
This restaurant is not fancy but has a warm atmosphere and delicious food! The service is quick, friendly, and even humorous. We were impressed with the generous portion sizes and affordable prices. The lobster roll was prepared just the way I prefer it, with salad dressing instead of mayo. It was perfect! The meal also came with a fresh bun, garden peas, coleslaw, and a mountain of fries, all for the same price as just a lobster roll elsewhere. My husband ordered the one piece fish and chips, which was huge! If we were staying longer, we would definitely return to this restaurant multiple times.
We were looking for a place to eat as the place we wanted to go had a long wait. This was convenient with indoor seating but counter service. It's right next to a laundromat. The convenient store looked a little sparse. The lady at the counter was very jovial and nice. We had a cavendish mess which was fries, burger, peas, onions, gravy and stuffing! Yummy. Of course there is tons of deep fried food. We can't seem to get away from it around here. We had fish burger with coleslaw and peas and chicken strips with fries coleslaw and peas. We had the local ginger ale.
We saw a sign that lobster platter for 12.99, went inside and ordered, very good meal, went back following night and had the same, was not on special but still very good, considering at the bridge a lobster roll alone was 18.99, Daves is a good place to eat in a weird location, large building that looks like they are still trying to fill, give it a try don't walk out like we watched others do.
