Angeethi (mirchi Express) Flame Fine Indian Bistro Catering

The food quality has significantly deteriorated in the last six months, possibly due to a change in ownership and definitely a change of chef. We used to frequent this place, but we're unlikely to return given the abundance of other dining options in Austin. The chicken Kodai we ordered lacked flavor and seemed like plain steamed chicken in uninspiring gravy. The grilled dishes were overly sour and lacked the delightful taste we remember from before. Furthermore, the absence of beef items is disappointing. It's unfortunate how a change in chef can negatively impact a once beloved dining spot.

It was okay. Wanted beef nihari but they didn’t have it, so we settled for Neelam chicken. It tasted whatever. The chicken was tough, and the naan was stretchy and difficult to tear apart. The rice it came with was plain white rice and dry. No flavor at all or salt. Found out they have a new owner so maybe that’s why food wasn’t great.

My chicken was ****. They made a new one and it was ok. A lot less chicken though which was weird. Everything else was extremely spicy, but they said it was mild. Server was kind of rude with our complaints. Son had a burger that was also spicy. He couldn't even eat it. Will not be back, especially for the price
