Bus Station Cafe - Central Bedfordshire

I would never think, but it is really nice place to have dinner. My husband and I we pop in after very busy day. It was Monday after and we were rejected in places. But in Star Cafe we got very nice welcome!...Fish Chips were just amazingly delicious. Team was kind and friendly. Thank you. See you again soon!

Really have to repeat the words of the other reviewers. My wife and I enjoyed the all-day breakfast priced at The coffee is among the best in town made with hot milk but customers are not allowed to put in the sugar and only...salt and vinegar is provided on the tables (no sauces). The meal was hot with the eggs cooked to perfection. Very clean with a deserved star hygiene rating. When previously owned I recall it being notoriously seedy and grubby. Like the other reviewers, I will deduct a star as the service seems always business-like without smiles or any pleasantries. Do not expect a warm welcome and chat because to date I have never witnessed that. However, a reliable, good value, clean cafe in otherwise very depressing surroundings.

I had a delicious all-day breakfast today that was hot and tasty. It wasn't too greasy, and the place was clean. All the food and drinks I tried were good and affordable. I don't care if the owner doesn't smile as long as the food is good, which it is.

This is a great little fish and chip shop and café that also serves breakfast. The food is generally very good, although there are occasional instances of overcooked chips. The service is efficient, but lacking in friendliness and polite conversation, especially from the owners. This should be addressed as it can make customers feel uncomfortable. The shop is only open during the day.

Despite the unappealing bus station exterior, the interior of the restaurant is pristine. It's no surprise they received top marks for hygiene. This place truly delivers when it comes to fish and chips. The portions of fish are substantial and accompanied by plenty of hot chips. The tea is reminiscent of homemade brew and the bread is classic white and sliced. The staff are attentive and welcoming. In addition to their all-day breakfast, burgers, and pies, the standout dish is definitely the fish - perfectly crispy, hot, and not overcooked.
