Muffin Break - Central Dr, Hornchurch

This experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered two coffees and two toasties, and while the coffees arrived, the sandwiches did not. Thirteen minutes later, I reminded the server about the missing sandwiches, and he claimed I hadn’t ordered them. I questioned why my bill was £9.15 for just two coffees if I had only ordered one sandwich. He then showed me the receipt, which indicated only one sandwich was ordered, but I still hadn’t received it! Once we finished our coffees, I requested a refund to my card, but I was informed they couldn’t process card refunds and could only offer cash instead. Additionally, the restaurant was quite cold and uninviting, and the prices were quite high. I definitely will not be returning.

The coffee is excellent, and the muffins are freshly baked with a wonderful selection. The staff is extremely friendly, and the service is top-notch.

The coffee was good, but considering it’s a place called Muffin Break, I expected much better muffins.

Coffee was fine, service was fine, the raspberry muffin was absolutely fantastic.

Just had a really, really good lunch at MB Wandsworth. I had the spinach feta tart, carrot cake and a pot of tea; my usual order. I'd been a little disappointed recently with previous trips here as I thought my order was a little inconsistent... salad garnish not always with the tart, cake tasting a little dry. (I realise how pretentious and petty that sounds, as it's nothing to fret over but when it's your favourite coffee shop and you come specifically to Southside to visit, it does take the sparkle off the visit . The manager graciously took time out to speak to me and explained that there had been a few changes behind the scenes and then happened to serve up the best carrot cake I'd had to date. Definitely my favourite coffee shop, they have all the elements for it good, fast, clean service, lovely personnel and very tasty food. A great product all around. Just wish they had another outlet even closer to Balham Clapham :
