The dinner and chowder were the best I have ever had, and the breakfast was equally delicious. I regret not getting the recipe at the time, as I have been searching and trying to replicate it at home for years. This quaint and simple restaurant is definitely worth a stay.
Great location, easy to find. Lots of parking available. Fairly large. Room was good for us as we were driving the Cabot Trail. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast included buffet style
During our overnight stay in a king room, we found the room to be spacious and clean, though slightly outdated. The hotel's location in the heart of town was convenient. However, we felt that the room was overpriced at almost $200 for a basic old motel room. Additionally, we were disappointed when housekeeping entered our room at 9 am, well before the 11 am check-out time. This could be a problem for anyone wanting to sleep in.
Laurie’s is located less than 1km away from a lot of local restaurants. The rooms are big, but basic which served their purpose. Breakfast was okay, the eggs were not the best but everything else was good. We were hiking all weekend, and served great as a home base for us. Definitely overpriced for what you get but it was also thanksgiving weekend when we came.
This is probably the nicest place to stay in Cheticamp and the food is pretty good. If you are looking for luxury, this isn 't it. It 's clean and comfortable. Rooms are big but they are also basic. Breakfast buffet is good and free. Dinner was good but best described as homestyle . Location is convenient for doing other things in the village.
