la table italienne - Châlus

Got this recommendation by our chambre d’hotes owners for the vegetarian pizza. We were quite early (19:15), finding an empty restaurant; nevertheless went in and didn’t regret it at all; nice extensive bread tray with garlic, two great pizzas and some nice Italian ice coupe. We had a nice diner experience for an acceptable price. Exactly what we needed after our trip from NL Châlus in one day by car. Also the red wine (per glass) can be recommended!

We had an excellent night, great food and great service .. we will definitely visit again oh and they do takeaway too..

Arrived here having been turned away from several other local establishments….and we weren’t disappointed. My pizza was one of the best that I have had in months…..all others seemed equally good, as was the lasagne. The ice creams were fabulous….with special reference to the caramel liegois.

So pleased this lovely restaurant & take away has opened near our holiday home. The pizzas are divine and the service spot on. We went twice in 2 weeks & ordered take out too!

We went to this restaurant after a few people had told us that it was very good. We had a lovely meal with both my husband and I ordering the mozzarella, tomato and basil salad for starter, this was very tasty with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, but the basil was not fresh (dried), the mozzarella was very, very nice and the serving portion very big - one could have done both of us. Then on to the main, we both went for the veal escalope, my husband's had a piquant (piquante) tomato sauce while I had the plain veal, both were lovely, very well cooked and again generous portions. My husband was able to fit in dessert, but I definitely wasn't. For a Thursday evening, this restaurant had a lot happening and was busy with people coming in for take-away pizza and others stopping for a meal. While the restaurant doesn't look great from outside inside it is fine, with attentive friendly staff. We will most definitely be going back.
