She said the smoked salmon bruschetta can use more balsamic reduction the other appetizer we ordered was the Maine chips which was good as well with crispy potato chips. Service was 10/10, our young waitress was so nice, friendly and efficient! Ambience was 10/10, bathroom was clean!
The food is delicious, the service is amazing, and the restaurant is easy to find! We ate on a Sunday afternoon and we had a wonderful experience. The raw oysters were absolutely delicious and the steamers were spicy and cooked to perfection! The food came out in perfect succession and everything was delicious. We had a variety of entrees and each was cooked beautifully. You must try the lobster roll and the full belly fried clams and fries with malt vinegar. This is a repeat for sure!
I came in for a date with the lil miss. We heard fords still had the dollar oysters going on during Mondays. We came in for happy hour and she loves sitting high up so we took a seat at a table in the bar area. It was fairly dead as it was just after work at 3ish. We had a lovely time! Our server was the bartender but really awesome staff helped out with delivering food, drinks and clean up. We did dollar oysters the ones from bluemont were the best from our selection. We also split a lobster roll and mash potatoes and broccolini. I forgot to order her mini corn muffins so we ordered some after the food came out. They are always a great hit! We were so stuffed afterwards and I was so happy I didn't have to cook or clean this day. It was a lovely date experience and I def see us returning soon!
Cool another Ford's, not a long ways from home. Went to a local gym in the Centreville area, and this place in South Riding was technically on the way back. Funny story, I actually put in the directions for a hair cuttery which is located in the same complex, but it was late, and I didn't feel like going there. BTW, there is sufficient parking in the lot outside. But now dinner at Ford's, that's an entirely new ball game. Change things up. Because why not, and besides life's too short for deliberating and withholding. I came here for dine in, and was informed that wait time would be in the realm and ballpark of 20 minutes. I said alright, no skin off my teeth either way, homie. Got seating almost immediately, and I was given an option where as well. Waiter was friendly enough and I was promptly presented with a few mouth watering options: Catch of the day, Swordfish. Never had before in my life, so that caught my eye well enough. Soft Shell Crab, which apparently is to die for. It's also only there two weeks out of a whole year, so purportedly a rarity and more of a seasonal delicacy, if anything. Lobster Roll, which I had seen on the initial menu out front, and was my initial go with the gut choice. But, as the waiter pointed out, that's available anytime so I won't be missing out on anything if I choose else wise. Ultimately, I was swayed by the waiters recommendation. Swordfish is also a rarity and I've never had it, true, but the SS crab looked too good to pass up. So indeed, Soft Shell Crab it was for me. It comes in two varieties, with or without sandwich. I went without, even though it was more expensive, it came with linguini pasta also. I had the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade as a drink, to pass the time. Overall Soft Shell Crab and sauce it came with was near awesome, mixed well with the tomatoes and linguini. I would heartily recommend forking the tomatoes alongside the linguini, and then additionally with the crab meat if you're looking to maximize taste/value. Soft Shell Crab was pretty great. Nothing ground breaking, but for the super high price, I suppose it was kinda worth it. I liked the sauce more than anything, and the way it mixed with the crab. The linguini pasta was rather bland by itself, and overshadowed by the other ingredients there on the plate. The drink I had was too sweet for me. I left a little bit, but the sugar in it was overpowering to me. I think next time it will be a cocktail for me, after all. All in all, great spot. If a bit expensive easily over 40$ incl. tips, and that's for one person, with only two items ordered. Talk about breaking the bank! But I liked this spot. Definitely top notch, and Fords is a well known brand. I have visited the one in Ashburn and for some reason I liked the dish/taste here a little more. Hopefully, I'll find my way back here once again! If I have any events tied up nearby, I'll definitely swing by again. Looking forward to that, and honestly who knows what the future may bring!
Late lunch early dinner isn't primetime here. It's ok, I will Go back, buy next time during busy hours when service is fast and food us hot. Needs ketchup and Cholula on table so we don't have to ask.
