Walking down Kings street in Charleston which is the 3rd largest shopping district in the United States in over 90 degree weather. Playa Bowls was calling my name. This was my first time here and it was so delicious I went again the next day. I wish North Carolina were I live and work in real estate had one. The Nutella açaí bowl ??I even went home and started making my own the next day. Not as good but will have to do till Playa Bowl comes to NC.
We stopped here while venturing about King St. The menu was large, the atmosphere was good, and the Nutella Bowl was one of the best Açaí bowls we have had. Definitely worth the time and calories
We stoped in here as we were walking king street end to end. The Kowabunga smoothie was just what we needed to cool down and fuel up. They have tons of options!
I went in around 3pm and they weren?t busy. Ordered a sweet cream cold brew and thought it was good, but not really worth the size/price upgrade compared to the regular cold brew they offered. As for the playa bowl I got, it was the Banana Tide bowl and I was not a fan of the flavor mix or most of what was included in it. (Keep in mind this was my first time going). I feel like I would?ve enjoyed the more well known Açaí bowl with fruit or something less quirky. I ended up taking it home and eating it the next day but I didn?t finish it (got tired of the range of different flavors that I don?t think mixed well) and I think it?s better to eat in one sitting/same day.
