Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend on a Thursday for lunch. We grabbed a table in the extension of the cafe which is open-air via a roll down shutter. Lots of light in the cafe which made for a pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress was really friendly, and didn't mind splitting our check. We both had the Green Bowl, which was spinach, kale, avocado, poached eggs and quinoa in a really nice sauce. It was filling but light. Would definitely go back and get this again. This cafe seemed like a great place to meet a friend or to bring a book and just enjoy the afternoon.
I've eaten at all the establishments that Chatswood has to offer but when I discovered that I've missed a gem like Chimichuri I was quite surprised. This quaint little cafe is tucked away on the other side of Chatswood - the quiet side where no one goes - so if you're not adventurous, you'd never discover this place. I must say the selection of food is very good. The presentation is superb - think FlowerChild and The Grounds. The service was fantastic. Just when I was getting sick and tired of eating in Chatswood, this place comes into radar. It truly is a breath of fresh air.My only negative comment about this place is the manager. Patrons would see him float around the cafe "checking out" girls. He would interrupt their lunch and "sweet talk" them. He'd jump from one table to the next flirting with one girl to another. Suddenly, those girls would receive complimentary desserts. It just went on and on and on and on. It was quite sleazy to be honest. In fact, I overheard two girls (whom received two complimentary dessert plates) say how "sleazy" he was but they weren't complaining - it's $40 worth of free desserts after all.If you're a hot young girl who likes being hit on and love free desserts, I highly recommend you come here. If you're not, then you should still come for the great food and service.
I really love Chatswood and all the wonderful food options, Chimichuri was delicious I ordered the spicy chicken burger which was delicious - a bit hard to eat so just put that cutlery to the side and enjoy it with your hands. We also ordered the Macaroni and Cheese - now that was a surprise - so tasty and brought back child hood memories but better. There are also a variety of salads and presentation is pretty cool.
Open air cafe right on Help Street, Menu has a good array to select from. Meals are a good size and are delivered fresh and delicious.
