I recently purchased four different types of cake donuts, and unfortunately, they were extremely greasy. Biting into them was like biting into an orange, with oil oozing out everywhere. It seems they either didn't heat the fryer to the right temperature or the batter was too runny. I ended up throwing them all away when I got home, which felt like a waste of both time and money. The donuts I saw in other reviews looked much better, so it might have just been an off day for them. However, since I’m currently traveling, I don’t have the opportunity to request a refund or try them again. This experience really highlights the importance of consistency. A good cake donut should be dense, with a nice firm, crispy exterior and a moist, flavorful cake inside.

I'm giving this place 3 stars primarily because of its cookies. I ordered doughnuts and cookies, and while the doughnuts deserve a solid 4.5 stars, the cookies definitely earn just 1 star. They were rock-hard, as if they had been sitting out since the night before. I've had good experiences with their doughnuts in the past, so they seem to have that down. However, I would recommend steering clear of the cookies.

Please fix your Google page! There were 7 people who came to your bakery this afternoon because Google told us you closed at 5:30pm on Friday 11/12. 2 of us were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted a sweet treat from Koch's. We were sorely disappointed!
