Feedback gevenI recently dined at Visible and found the food to be thoughtful, with attentive and welcoming staff. However, the presentation of the food could have been improved as the chips were overly salty and my dessert appeared a bit haphazardly placed on the plate. Despite these minor issues, it is still a pleasant place to have a meal.
We dined at the Cote restaurant in Dorchester several times and were consistently pleased with the meals and service. Our experience at Cote in Cheltenham was just as satisfying. The presentation of the meal was excellent, with hot and tasty dishes. We enjoyed sharing olives and bread as an appetizer, followed by the juicy Poulet Grille served with freshly cooked frits and a side of broccoli. For dessert, my wife had the delicious chocolate Merveilleux, while I opted for the Tarte au Citron, sans clementines. Both dishes were delightful and complemented by a selection of alcoholic beverages. Despite a slight hiccup with our reservation, the clean and pleasant bathrooms, and the accommodating staff, we would rate our overall experience a 4 out of 5.
We chose Cote for a special 50th wedding anniversary dinner for my parents, with 16 of us including children and grandchildren. Unfortunately, the night was completely ruined by the terrible food that was served to us. We had pre-ordered our meals, but our order was not checked upon arrival. The appetizers were brought out before we even had a chance to settle in, and we had to request a delay in serving the next courses to prolong our evening. When the main courses finally arrived, they were cold and below the standard we expected from Cote. One steak was also incorrect and never replaced. The sides were unappetizing, with limp and sad-looking vegetables. Overall, it was a disaster and what was supposed to be a special and enjoyable night turned out to be a disappointment that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Eating average compared to other Cotes, the shocking aspect was an employee waiting to start layer horizontal on a sofa besides customer tables watching tik tok videos on phone that is louder than the music in the restaurant. Credit... to an employee who said what the hell you are doing, but the main maitre de did not seem to see what is wrong, even chatting with him. Also its good idea not to have work-related conversations in the customer environment, sort your plan for the evening behind the scenes or make it in the customer area. Disappointed as Cote Brasserie Cirencester is one of my favorite restaurants Cheltenham is quite dowdy in comparison The ladies toilet are a disgrace. Filthy floor, 3rd cubicle along, toilet seat broken, and toilet roll hanging off the toilet door coat hook Ordered starters but soup...literally burnt my mouth and the fish pie wasn't much better. Creamed spinach was obviously forgotten. A £60/£70 bill followed and couldn't have desserts as both the chocolate ones we chose were unavailable I've marked it average as that what I believe the meal was And as for the noise bellowing out of the 3rd floor kitchen, who knows what was going on up there
