The Mulberry Cafe - Cherwell

In different circumstances, this restaurant experience may have been better. We stopped off the motorway in search of a coffee and sandwich for a late lunch. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, with the stated closing time being an hour later. Our waitress inquired with the boss if they were still serving food, to which he replied no. I asked if they could make a sandwich, and was instead offered a scone. When I requested if it could be warmed up, I was told that they don't usually do that. The scone was not very good, possibly store-bought. The boss seemed disinterested and did not even acknowledge us or smile. Note: I mistakenly wrote we arrived at 3pm, when it was actually 2pm.

A very charming, eclectic place with great food and friendly hosts. Quite a few vegetarian options and several vegan options, which we appreciated. Very tasty food seved fresh and piping hot for a reasonable price. Easy walking distance from the canal if you're on a boat, as we are. Recommended!

Lovely village cafe with a friendly service team. Everyone is welcome including well behaved dogs. Lovely selection of breakfast, lunch drinks. Eat in or takeaway and you can hire out the cafe for celebrations and events. Highly recommend

Clean below the tables,walls and floors,your food is starting to taste of wet dog.and my dog died two years ago.

Lovely little cafe really friendly people who opened the kitchen for us, and absolutely delicious food at very reasonable prices!!! I loved it so much
