Hong Kong Chef

This restaurant serves delicious dishes like chicken fried rice, pepper salted chips, shredded beef in Peking sauce, and prawn crackers. The food is amazing and definitely worth trying.

I must say, I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant near my boyfriend's place and we finally found it! The staff were friendly, despite being busy, and I was impressed by how calmly they handled everything. I noticed that they had around 5 orders already bagged and ready for takeout delivery. The portions were generous and the spring rolls were huge. The food was delicious and still hot when we got home. The prices were reasonable, the staff was nice, and the food was great. Just a heads up, they only accept cash. Thank you.

I would give this place 5 stars, it's amazing! The chef and staff are fantastic. They serve delicious old school Chinese food as well as burgers with chips, gravy, and onions. I tried a bit of everything and it was all great. The prices are very reasonable, and I love that they have an open kitchen and offer delivery service. Well done, Hong Kong Chef!

We’ve just bought a holiday home on the nearby Lakeside Park so thought we really should try our local Chinese. Telephone orders accepted for delivery or collection but we couldn’t find a menu anywhere so called in for our first time. Lots of orders being prepared which is promising food quickly prepared and taken home to devour. Very tasty, good sized portions, the curry was slightly hotter than usual Chinese curry but was very tasty, the chips were better than most similar establishments and we were given a free portion of prawn crackers. Definitely now on our list to try again. I’ve attached photos of the menu with phone numbers etc. They only take cash payments.

Extremely disappointing food this time, this was our No.1 go to takeaway and we visited 5-6 times a month, but due to lockdown this was our first visit back after almost 4 months, the food was all mixed up with 2 portions of fish wrapped together meaning It was cold by the time we got to eat most of it, I ordered fish and chips for my elderly parent to easily drop off for them on my way home, and because the fish was wrapped together (which I didn't know at the time) after I dropped off their food and got home with mine I had to then leave my portion of fish and chips to go cold as I then had to go back out to deliver their fish to go with the portion of chips I had dropped off 5 or so minutes earlyer. And then to add insult to injury there was no salt or vinegar on any of the chips or fish despite me asking for lots of salt and vinegar and this was confirmed when our order was read back to me on the phone, The only positive thing I can say about this visit is the delivery drivers who were waiting inside were sanitising thier hands lots while I was waiting outside for my order. And although not the take away owners fault the majority of customers that came and went while i was there were not even coming close to adhering to social distancing rules so I don't think we will be visiting again any time soon as it was very scary indeed. It is a shame as we were looking forward to our favourite take away after not being able to have it for so long
