The restaurant area looked a bit outdated but was very clean. We ordered at the shop counter and didn't have to wait long for our delicious, hot, freshly cooked food. The portions were large and great value for money - we couldn't even finish our chips! The menu, displayed on a chalkboard, had a variety of breakfast and main meal options, as well as burgers, chips, hot and cold sandwiches. The shop also had a selection of pies and sausages ready to go, though prices weren't displayed. The prices for the fish and chips matched what was shown in photos on their Facebook page from April 2016. They used to offer takeaway pizza, which we would love to see back on the menu.
The restaurant offers delicious food with generous portions, akin to what you would find at a truck stop. It is clearly a popular establishment, as evidenced by the numerous phone-in orders. However, I wish I could give a higher rating, but the service from the front of house staff was lacking. The portions of chips were overly large, reminiscent of what you would typically find at a fish and chip shop - they could afford to be downsized.
I stopped by this morning for a simple bacon and egg breakfast and a coffee. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a good morning, asking about my travels. I placed my order and was told that my breakfast would be brought to the table shortly. The dining area was very clean and organized. After a short wait, my breakfast arrived and it was perfect for a hungry traveler. It was presented beautifully and tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. We complimented the staff on all aspects of the roadhouse and they graciously accepted our praise, wishing us a safe journey and a great day. Thank you to the ladies for a job well done.
An excellent place to stop, refuel and have something to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was extremely good, cheap and portions were large enough to fill most appetites and was not expensive. The free tea coffee was a nice touch. Will definitely call again when in the area. We need more places like this.
Late Saturday afternoon heading to work in Bindoon, I realised that the Bakery would be closed by the time I got there but it would be too early for the Pub. So I stopped into the Chittering Roadhouse, chose a chicken cheese toasted sandwhich and was most pleasantly impressed with both the friendly efficient service and the yumminess of my 'snack '. Quality bread, loaded with chicken, real tasty cheese just a simple sandwich but what a delight!
