St Pierre's Sushi Bento Bowl

My family and I visited St Pierre's Sushi in Sydenham in the early evening, around 5pm. We were looking forward to enjoying some delicious sushi, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of our expectations.Firstly, we attempted to order sushi platters, but the staff informed us that they were too busy to accommodate our request. While we understand that restaurants can get busy, the staff's unfriendly demeanor was disappointing and left a negative impression on us.What really deterred us from making a purchase was the placement of the sushi. In the early evening, the sushi was in direct sunlight, which made us uncomfortable about the freshness and quality of the products. Food safety is paramount, and the ambient light exposure raised concerns about the sushi's condition. Despite our disappointment with this specific location, I'll continue to give St Pierre's Sushi another chance at a different locations. However, I won't be returning to this Sydenham location due to the subpar customer service and potential issues with product quality. In summary, St Pierre's Sushi in Sydenham left us with an unsatisfactory experience due to their customer service and the questionable storage of their sushi. We hope they can improve these aspects to provide a better dining experience for their customers.

Just stopped Saturday midday for a take away sushi of the day seafood and a Miso soup for me and my partner. 6 hours later started to feel sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Few hours later also my partner got sick. Just wondering if any other client had the same issue today you may be dealing with crossed contamination. Ill never buy anything here again

Walking into this St Pierre’s Sushi Bento Bowl it was very quiet as was 7:30pm I suspect they close at 8pm, in fact there were no other customers until 2 more arrived shortly after I entered. Approached the counter area of the sushi side of this eatery and was disappointed to see that all but a few remaining pre made sushi packet combinations remained. However it was nearing their closing time so restocking was clearly not being done for this reason and I was able to get my order made fresh so a big plus there. Making my request I was met with a very reluctant attitude from the St Pierre’s assistant which was a shame and I suspect she was possibly tired. The sushi itself once we got home to eat it which was only a 5 minute drive away was very dry, bland and not at all enjoyable. We have had sushi from other St Pierre’s stores in CHCH and never encounter this poor standard of sushi. That with the poor service all contributed to our low rating for our experience on this occasion. I would like to think this was a one off and not something that happens often however it did for us on this visit which was disappointing given the price and time we invested.

Good service, good selection and good sushi and hot snacks.

Really nice vegetarian sushi cheap and delicious. Love it :D
