Feedback gevenI made a reservation at the restaurant/pub through OpenTable, and everything was confirmed. However, a few hours later I received a call from The Crown informing me that they were fully booked and unable to honor my reservation. I'm not sure where the issue arose, but regardless, my experience with The Crown through OpenTable was extremely disappointing. I would recommend booking directly with the restaurant to avoid any potential issues, although this should not be necessary.
I used to enjoy visiting The Crown, but it seems like the quality has decreased. The roast potatoes were the worst I've ever had and everything tasted like it had been reheated. I was very disappointed with my experience.
The Sunday lunch could have been improved by serving it hotter and providing sharper knives to cut the beef!
A bit disappointing this time, hard cabbage, indescribable carrots , attention to detail required. An establishment can soon loose customers, it would be a shame for a rural venue.
The restaurant/sub is booked via OpenTable. All confirmed. Happy Days. A few hours later, I was called by The Crown to say that they could not appreciate the appointment because they were fully booked. Not sure where the problem is in reality, but definitely my OpeTable-based experience with The Crown was as bad as possible. So my advice would be to book directly. Although this should not really be necessary.
