Oriental Lounge Mandarin Oriental Tokyo

We have been feeding for new yr eve .. since I've never been with mo in tokio. in the rule every nye we spend in other 5 in asia .. it is very festive .. the restaurant is not located in the main building of the hotel, it is very dark. last but not least I expect it for nye dinner .. although eating is good.

This is a buffet and a la carte mix. The starters and desserts are buffet style, whereas the main dishes need to be ordered from a choice menu. Overall all was very tasty, ambience is nice and service very good.

Had a wonderful meal there on Valentine's Day. the 6-course menu was perfect as we did not want a heavy meal (they also had 7 and 8 courses options.) the freshly baked brot was not to resist even though I wanted to eat less carbo. from beginning to end, each cure was tasty and beautifully plated. the service was also excellent with very pleasant coworkers chatting and explaining the food for us. will be back for more meals!

It is expensive, but the meal is worth the expense. Not a pretender, this is the real deal.
