Gold Star Chili - Cincinnati

If I could give a rating below zero, I would. I should have known something was off when I walked in and saw no other customers. We were asked for our drink order multiple times by three different people. After waiting for 20 minutes, our order of five cheese coneys still hadn't arrived. The restaurant smelled strongly of marijuana, and we couldn't stand it any longer, so we left our money for the drinks on the table and walked out. There's no excuse for the lack of service, especially since my daughter and I were the only customers there. It seemed like the staff were too intoxicated to function properly. Avoid this restaurant at all costs! My experience was terrible - my group was the only ones there and we waited nearly half an hour for a few cheese coneys. The staff seemed disorganized and could barely communicate with us. They even asked if we were ready to order 20 minutes after we had already placed our order. The service, food, and atmosphere were all rated a 1 out of 5. I will not be returning.

The food at this restaurant is good, but there always seems to be something forgotten in the order, requiring me to wait in the drive-thru or go inside to get it corrected. The staff is nice, but it can be frustrating to have to interact with them multiple times in order to get my food. I went through the drive-thru, there was no customers in the restaurant at all. All I ordered was a coney crate. I wait for close to 5 minutes, and then they asked me to pull up. I asked for hot sauce before I did. I waited 6 more minutes. I could see the employees dancing around acting ridiculous. The guy brings the food to the window, shoves it at me slams the window without saying a word. I get home there are 4 packs of Extreme Hot Sauce. Food was great. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Food quality has took a turn for the worse! Kids seem to work here and that could be the reason! Camp Washington and Skyline chili have since took over the reigns of best chili and cheese coney and well.. Gold Star is no longer relevant! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
