A must try in Cincinnati! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but the food is top notch. We started with an order of smoked jalapeno poppers and they were delicious. Definitely give them a try! We wanted to order the sweetheart deal for 2 with the ribs, but they were out of ribs. Instead, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and my husband had the muffuletta with jambalaya. OMG...our food was fantastic! Everything was hot and full of flavor. Our service was excellent and the prices were reasonable for the amount of food.
The food was absolutely incredible. I love Cajun food. It can be challenging to find good, more authentic style creole. Everything I had was punching my taste buds with flavor. The catfish was the best I have ever had.
This place is a nice surprise. Friendly staff and interesting decor. I appreciated the cloth dividers between booths that provided for a bit more privacy. Large selection of foods that you don’t normally see around here. The portion of shrimp and grits was huge and delicious. Grilled shrimp cooked perfectly, and I’m not sure what sauce they had on the grits, but it was tasty. The place is even connected to an antique mall you can visit without having to leave the restaurant. Will def go again.
I like this place because it makes me feel like I am in New Orleans or Key West. They have a great bar with an attentive bartender. As for the food, I don’t know. You have to like Catfish or red beans and rice or.jambalaya. The jambalaya with totally anew Orleans authentic. My friends loved it, but I wasn’t wild about it. If you want authentic New Orleans cuisine, this is probably the place. The attached antique mall was cool and I liked the layout. The pricing is outrageous, but they will barter will you.
