Beautiful restaurant (no loud music so you can actually talk without shouting). Attention to detail was really excellent. Service was attentive without being pushy. Lives up to all the reviews.
I always loved this restaurant as i had been leaving for 25 years next to it and used to go there every week. Always as good, nice atmosphere, nice service, very good food. So everything perfect. We will return.
The food was bursting with flavor. The staff was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the food with the meal. I cannot name a bad dish. The critique falls to the cocktail list, which needs more pop and flavor, and the thin wine list that did not provide any value relative to many of the wines listed. The food keeps you coming back, which is important, but the experience needs to be rounded out.
Pls withdraw their michelin star. All we cay, not good, not good, not good. Disappointed. Plus point to the staff for handling the situation quite ok.
Our first visit to amaya was very enjoyable, I liked where we were seated which was near the chefs cooking, we didn’t know which dishes to choose, our waiter lorenzo was very helpful and recommended some lovely dishes, we started with tandoori prawns, these are sensational, I then had the lamb chops these were just as good I was in heaven!! Really well cooked I wish I had ordered more! My partner has an Indian father and likes spicy food so unfortunately she did not enjoy her chicken curry dish, even thou the flavour of the tomato sauce was nice it was not very spicy so that was disappointing also my lamb biriani although cooked nicely with soft lamb pieces was quite dry without a sauce luckily I could use some of my partners! In hindsight I wish we had tried some more smaller plates, we will definitely return to try the seafood platter which looked lovely on another other table!!
