They only had pizzas available, but they were poorly cooked - two out of the eight we ordered were inedible and the rest were soggy and undercooked. The manager took a long time to address our concerns, and overall, I would not return to this restaurant. The food was bad and the manager seemed indifferent. One person in our group even suggested that our waiter, who tried his best, find employment elsewhere - and I have to agree with them.
This was my favourite Italian restaurant in London. Visited mainly the one at the embankment till it closed then visited the one in Piccadilly since. Being Italian I know my pizza and food when is spot on and this seemed to be as good and close as I have when I go home. It has always been good in this restaurant until last night 27/08/22 we booked a table for 3 we arrived early and they accommodated us early. Very good. We waited ages to be served. We eventually got remembered (not that the place was that busy) a young waiter came we ordered drinks and olives to start with. Drinks took ages to come once my husband complained that the drinks were taking ages the waiter said yes we have one bar downstairs he goes away next min he comes up with the drinks….obviously they were sitting downstairs. Then the waitress comes to ask if we were ready to order yes we are we replied my husband and son were going to order pizza me pappardelle with ragù….the place has been revamped since we’ve last been and the menu has been change too. Hardly any choice of food on it but we though we’d give it a go…..she goes ok give me 1 second…..she disappears again then next min she’s taking orders from another table. By then the food was passing by to other tables……the pizza looked burned, tasteless and not very appetising at this point we decided to leave. We called the waiter asking for the bill we paid and left. On our way down on the table behind us I saw a plate with what I could make it up it would have been the pappardelle ragù I was going to have. My heart sunk thinking of what I could have had. It looked pasty, anaemic and a mess. So glad we didn’t stay. Shame a real shame. This was one of a good chain Italian restaurant the own that is gone down hill. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting again. As I fan of another great Italian #number1 restaurant for me ROSSOPOMODORO in Covent Garden we walked there we were welcomed with a smile the place was heaving the staff work so well together in there all synchronised and nothing is too much for them. The menu has a good variety and is all exquisite and the pizza …..OMG just like being at home Sorry fratelli la bufala but sort it out.
The pasta was overly salty and had a very unpleasant taste. I found it inedible. Additionally, the prices were too high for the low quality of food. I would not recommend this place for pasta. The only positive aspect was that the staff were extremely friendly.
We understand that businesses may have suffered during the pandemic, but there is no excuse for serving a meal of this quality. We asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, as it was not deserved. They promised us a free dessert on our next visit, but it was too little, too late. We won't be returning unless we see significant improvements.
This place was really, really awful please sort it out as location great?! Wet and burnt pizza No vegetarian pizza and got charged for adapting a ham one My friends risotto came out with mushroom not butternut squash like rice pudding Rude staff And had to wait ages for wrong dish I wouldn’t have bothered with this review but the best thing you offered for our pitiful meal was no (optional) service charges.
