The Moon Under Water

One of my two favourite Wetherspoons in London, great location but can get busy later on as it is in Leicester Square with the theatre crowds, not too big but good for breakfast or a quick drink, very cheap for London.

Not recommended for families looking for dinner no under 18s allowed after 8pm. Security on the door very disrespectful

Arrived here after a theatre visit for a quick drink, as busy getting tubes home. Arrived at 2230 to be refused entry by the very rude security man. Asked why? He screamed at us 2300 close. I explained we only wanted a quick drink and would be gone by 2300. Was then shouted at we close at 2300. I said we shall go somewhere else in which I was abruptly told everywhere closes at 2300 “stupid”. Pleasant man!

Typical Wetherspoons; once inside you could be in any city!! Cheaper than the other pubs close by but saving 2/3 pound on a round attracts the customers. If you have a family and want to save money in London this is the place to go. All very crammed in but you know what it is and what you will get

Drinks cheaper then any of the other pubs but still expensive. As it’s a large chain it really should think about levelling its prices out. Been here before 10/15 times under different management and it was run much better.
