Great spot to stop for lunch with views of the Mediterranean Sea. We stopped for drinks and stayed for lunch. The menu is in Italian only but the share plate we had was sensational Tagliere Di Salumi e formaggi) Staff were helpful even with limited English. Nice IPA beers available as well a a good selection of wines. Would definitely recommend.
This was our go to spot for breakfast coffee, well this is it really good espresso was a little hard to find in this area but this place always came through for us. For dinners my wife enjoyed the fish and I enjoyed their hamburger something that normally found in Italy to be very good. If you’re staying in this area check it out it’s worthwhile.
Crew from a cruise finding the best places for lunch....Beautiful bacon, avocado, egg bagel with a view! Great staff very friendly! :
I was ready to give this place high marks after the appetizer...but then everything went down hill from there. The gal that runs the place (she claims to be the boss), was very nice from the beginning, the bruschetta that the cook prepared was really great, and the atmosphere was of course awesome because we 're right there on the boardwalk with a fantastic view of the sea. So what went wrong? I saw that they had fish 'n chips on the menu, and was happily eager to have some for lunch while my friend had ordered a big platter of mixed meats and cheeses. When my dish came out, it didn 't look at all like what I was expecting and tasted worse than something you would microwave out of a TV dinner box. Nasty, nasty. I took two bites and told the waitress/manager there was something seriously wrong with the cod. I didn 't know what it was and I very, very rarely NEARLY NEVER send food back. I told her that it tasted strange, and that I 'd like to change my dish. She came back eating a piece insisting that it was fine, but I told her I couldn 't eat it. I asked her if I could CHANGE my dish. I made the mistake of presuming that this would indicate to her I was intending to cancel this from the bill and instead order something completely different. She was very willing to bring me something else out. I ordered something else, and she came back saying the chef didn 't have that. I ordered a hamburger, which is not something I would normally eat on a day at the beach in Italy of all places but that 's all that really sounded appetizing from the rest of the choices on the menu. The burger was fine, and we asked to take the rest of our food home with us. She didn 't have take away boxes, and didn 't have paper plates, so gave us some shrink wrap and doggy bags. We asked for separate checks, and when she came out with mine, the fish n chips were still on the receipt. I went in to fix the problem. She and I went back and forth on this for several minutes and she kept insisting that she and the chef both tasted the fish and they agreed there was nothing wrong with the fish. I tried to tell her that that was her opinion, but I was the customer, and I know what cod should taste like and that was not the way it should taste. It was awful. She then began to raise her voice and said that it was insane for me to expect not to pay for the dish, because she would lose money if she threw it out. I told her that when I asked to switch the dish, I never anticipated that she would make me pay for both dishes, and had I known that I wouldn 't have ordered something else. We were yelling at each other for several minutes until she threatened to call the police if I didn 't pay for that dish. I was obviously willing to pay for the rest of the bill, but I was outraged that it had gotten to the point of her yelling at a customer, and that she was literally willing to call the police on me. I would have been happy to speak to them but was late to take my friend to the train station and didn 't have time to argue with a classless restaurant manager. I just moved here the restaurant just lost a regular patron, shame on them.
