Joe's Crab Shack - Clifton

My experience was outstanding. The service was without a doubt the best service I could have ever asked for. The server definitely made my birthday one for the books.

The place was pretty empty. The food was great! but not worth the price. It was very little portion for the seafood buckets. The staff was nice and waitress came to check very often.

In middle of our dining fire alarm went off. We had to get outside and wait 30 minutes until Fireman gave ok to return. Our food was cold then. The restaurant manager did not come apologize nor offer anything for inconvenience. Waitress service was great and food was good when warm.

Food was great. Service was terrible. It was not busy. They were not short staffed. Waitress was chatting with co workers at hostess stand most of the time we were there. Never brought appetizer before meal. Never checked in if we needed more drinks. Very hard to track down for check at the end of the night.

The food was very good although too many fried items offered. Also, how can a crab shack not have crab cakes on the menu? Server wasn’t particularly knowledgeable about the offerings and it took a while after seating to order a drink. Very noisy and more than one child was just running around the place shrieking.
