Home Plate Pancake House - Cobourg

I have lived in this area my entire life and have only been to home plate a handful of times! (I know i know I have never once had an issue, and was lucky enough to try their new dinner menu lastnight! The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive, kind and friendly, and the owner even came to say hello! I think I have found my new fav spot! Will definitely be back, and will recommend to everyone! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience lastnight! Love the new Diggs!

My husband and I took my Mom and her girlfriend to Home Plate about two weeks ago. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long. The service was excellent and the food was worth the wait and worth repeating. We both had the salmon sandwich and the ladies had the burger which were so big they could hardly get their mouths around them. The burger came with loads of fries and they were delicious too. My Mother is extremely picky when it comes to food and she loved her meal which is a hugh compliment. The meal was very filling but we couldn't resist trying the homemade pie and we weren't disappoint. I would come back anytime and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Grace McCulloch

Finally visited this local favourite in late January (after moving to the area will soon be 10 years ago). Wish we had patronized sooner, now a frequent visitor, great diner type breakfast was what drew us in have now returned for lunch, excellent as well. A family run business, Chef Sef has recently returned after 7 years honing his chops in the culinary arts in the big smoke TO. Sefan is expanding the menu options with some adventurous specials that are delicious. Home Plate will be moving to a new location currently under construction adjacent to their current space, hopefully on schedule late summer. Plans are to add a dinner menu can hardly wait. Bonus for Cobourg.

Had lunch at Home Plate. I indulged in the home plate burger and I have to say it was amazing!!!

Excellent service, excellent food, great portion sizes, AMAZING raspberry pancakes... Servers were very accommodating with our 15 person party who arrived basically unannounced. We will DEFINITELY be back soon!
