Cakehole Mersea - Colchester

Love the cakehole! The carrot cake is the best, however all the cakes and bread for that matter are delicious.

The cakes at this restaurant are absolutely amazing - they are homemade and delicious. There are also plenty of other delicious treats to choose from. I highly recommend trying the locally made fudge, which comes in a variety of flavors and is made less than 10 miles away. The Art Cafe, which is owned by the same people just two doors away, is also fantastic. The staff at both establishments are friendly and welcoming.

We enjoyed a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The menu offers a good variety of options to accommodate different dietary needs, and the desserts, particularly the cakes, were delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and they even have changing facilities for babies.

The service was very friendly, and they serve delicious coffee and amazing cakes. The cheese straws are the best in Essex. The outdoor seating on the pavement is perfect for people-watching.
