I used to eat in good French restaurants and was excited to try another. we were welcomed and sitting outside. first annoyed, they have no straws. it was a small problem, but because it made so much ice in the drinks, not with a straw to drink more difficult. I don't understand with plastic, but they had no (I asked) sangria was good. my man said his Pinot-Grgio wasn't great. my son had a hard time drinking his soda. I decided to try the goat cheese tea cup. for $13, we have two puff bags with a piece of goat cheese and an Arugula salad. I could buy a whole box of puff bakery plus a log of goat cheese and make a whole plate for less than that. it tasted good, but was very simple and probably overpriced by about five dollars. I ordered my son the croque monsiuer, that was more broth than to jump, although it was tasteful. I had the meerrot lachsentrée, who was in order. the salmon was cooked nicely, but needed salt despite the sauce, along with the spatula. menu said “stretched”, salmon was clearly grilled. the kartoffels were probably the best on the teller. I tasted a bit of steak from my man's steak sandwich; the flesh needed salt. service was good and mostly attentive, but the waiter was not friendly in the least. so overall, while nothing was absolutely bad, it was not great either. I wouldn't return.
Positiw: very friendly and attentive staff. the chief was always there, chatting with the costumes. the food was very delicious. we had the cassoulet and the duck jam. though both were good, they try. it was amazing. (for all Brazilians out there it is like a French version of feijoada, but with white beans) the dessert was also very good. we had the apple pie and the cream bubble. both were delicious! con: the sangria was not super delicious and it was served with fruit juices and not the actual fresh fruit. ps: the dame beside us had a cheesecake that looked amazing, although small. ps2: I'm sorry about the half-eating food picture.
Incredible food and exceptional service. I'll share a way out. it's hard to replicate a bustling French bistro ambiance, but they've got it here.
Great escargot, rich and tasty. Cassoulet was excellent, coming hot, generous portion, plenty of sausage pieces but less on the duck, beans melted in your mouth. Excellent 2 large pieces of Boudin noir with mashed potatoes and sautéed slices apples with rich dark sauce. Would have like more apple pieces to contrast the pudding but overall excellent.Friendly staff. Very romantic, rustic decor.
Have been coming here for years. The menu is steadfast- French comfort food at a relatively reasonable price. The cassoulet never fails to satisfy! The service is phenomenal and the desserts are not to be missed. Many long and happy evenings spent at these tables!
