This salad is perfect. Nice little place and family run. 1000 times better than all of the garbage that is close by. Thanks for a great meal. We will be back!
As suckers for bbq, it was nice to know that there is a bbq joint very close to where we live. We visited Wibs on a Friday night around 7 pm. Some tables were occupied, but we were able to order right away and sit down. I ordered the Wib-burger (bacon, bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion). My gf ordered the pulled pork on a wrap. My side were the sweet potatoes, she ordered the onion straws. Food came quick. The food was better than expected and we were satisfied with what we ordered. Everything was cooked correctly and tasted good. The sweet potatoes fries were absolutely amazing. My gf believes there is some sort of narcotic in the onion straws, because is she addicted! The bbq sauce must have some secret ingredients as well and was delicious. The establishment was clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly. I would, however, like to see more interior decor, for the place looks plain. It would have been a lot easier if the menu was plastered on a wall, maybe a chalkboard of sorts. (Where the flower art is or where the American flag is) Walking up to the counter not knowing the menu can slow down the line. It was appreciated that wet naps were on the table, but would have loved to see napkins or even a paper towel roll, for we got messy. Overall, we will definitely come back here again to try the other menu items.
Flat out best wings in the area. My brother introduced them to me during the pandemic. I can't get envoy of them.
We came out to Collegeville to take our son on the Ursinus tour. After a really nice experience at the school our attention turned to lunch. I did a quick Yelp search before we drove out and the reviews for WIBS were excellent. So we gave the place a try. A friendly welcome. Order up front and take a seat and wait for your treats. All three of us ordered rib and wing combos. Regular fries, sweet potato fries and onion straws. My son and I had dry rub ribs. My wife had Memphis style, with a vinegar based sauce on the side. We ordered our Buffalo wings hot. Not a long wait for our food. The wings were awesome. Big, meaty and crispy. The sauce was not scorching but hot enough and very flavorful. They just don 't doctor up Frank 's Red Hot here like so many other places do. We appreciated that. The ribs were outstanding. I hate fall off the bone, stew meat style ribs. You don 't get that here. Just a modest tug to free the meat from the bone. The dry rub was excellent. My wife 's vinegar based sauce was so good she wanted to drink it. Our sides were all top notch So, can you tell we enjoyed it? Too early to tell if our son will come to Ursinus. But if he does, he 'll be here all the time.
One night my husband and I were on the look out for some wings we scoured the internet, trying to find somewhere knew and came across WIBS. Unfortunately, they were closed for vacation, but we kept them in the back of our minds. Fast forward a few months we had to run an errand in Collegeville and decided to order WIBS for lunch later. We got some wings and 2 racks of ribs to try for the wings we just did Classic (NY Buffalo) and for the ribs we did JK Original and Dry Rub. Our order was ready pretty much as soon as we arrived to pick it up and lasted all of 30 minutes once we got home the wings were okay...we didn't not like them, they just weren't the best ever. Same with the JK Original Ribs good, not great. But, the dry rub...this is the thing dreams are made of. The combination of spices and seasoning they use is perfect the right amount of sweet and salt to pop in your mouth. My husband enjoyed everything so much that when I went on a girls day out to Movie Tavern he was adamant I only return home if I brought ribs from WIBS with me. I introduced my friend to their deliciousness and we all sat down and enjoyed a feast that day, as well. They are expensive (at least it feels like it, I don't rib shop often), but the dry rub is well worth it. We'll definitely be stopping in again and keep them in mind when we have company over.
