The food is delicious. Employees are very nice and helpful.
I always get wonderful food service here. It is a bit pricey though, imo.
As someone who is Asian, grew up eating AUTHENTIC asian foods, and even lived in Asia for awhile this is by far the WORST asian food restaurant I have ever been to. First off… how does one even mess up fried rice? It’s one of the easiest dishes and I have never had bad fried rice until now. Secondly do NOT get the “authentic” thai spice. I’m not sure if they even understand what authentic means, but nothing about it was authentic. As someone who can handle asian spice pretty well, I was shocked when my pineapple fried rice was as spicy as a x2 buldak packet. The spice was so strong, the only things you could almost taste were the chicken and pineapple in the entire dish. Otherwise it just tasted of spice and not even flavorful spice either but the type that would give most people heartburn. For those who have tried the “authentic” thai spice, please be aware thai food is usually NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL. The waiter also somehow got my order completely wrong when I was very clear when I first ordered that I wanted the bacon pineapple fried rice but substitute the bacon with chicken… ended up getting just normal fried rice without pineapple. The waiter tried to switch the blame on me but I’m pretty sure that order should have been clear in the first place and I’d be less annoyed if he hadn’t tried to blame me. The only good service was the guy working at the bar who brought us to our table was sweet. Regardless if you want asian food, go literally anywhere else. It wasn’t even decent and extremely overpriced for being the blandest “asian” food I’ve had. Once again… how does a place mess up fried rice? ? Also I find it really strange that on their official instagram they happen to be following two adult content accounts. Very unprofessional. #BringBackChim’sThaiRestaurant
The food was terrible that I only had a few bites just to evaluate it. As someone who is Cambodian (which cultures and food and very similar to Thai) the food tasted so bland and nothing like traditional Thai food. On the menu, “traditional” spicy was set at a level 3 or 4 (I forgot which one) which I can tolerate. I got the traditional spicy assuming it would be like actual traditional spicy level. But my gosh, it wasn’t. I’m a person that handles spice well but wasn’t expecting it to be extremely spicy. With that, the food lacked flavor and was bland. I got the fried rice which is so hard to mess up especially in Asian cuisine but all I could taste was the spiciness and oil. I had to go home to let me family try it without any biased comments and even they said they could taste nothing. It was just spicy to the point my boyfriend’s throat began to swell and he couldn’t breathe- and for context my boyfriend eats the hottest Buldak Ramen flavor often and has never reacted to the spiciness. As of right now, I’m experiencing vomiting and a bad stomach ache as well. Save your time, body, and money and go hit up Pho Quan or any other Thai food place if you want southeast Asian food.
