Hate leaving a not-so-great review but it wasn’t a great experience.Seemed like one guy was training another but the trainer wasn’t the most pleasant. The new guy was smiley and seemed to be happy to be there. Wanted food (brunch)but as a vegetarian there didn’t seem to be many options. Got a drink. It was very tasty. However, for almost $6 it was mostly ice. Thankfully the new guy asked if I wanted the extra he made instead of tossing it, which I appreciated.
The food used to be great handcrafted items that I used to rave to my girlfriend how it all tasted home made. Over time they cut back on their food options until they went from green chile breakfast burritos and french dips to hot dogs and microwave pizza. They hire staff that can 't even take a break from being passive aggressive when you 're tipping them. The vibe is very much spend money or get out , but over time I was finding less things worth spending my money on there. I started sneaking out during events to go eat at the deli cafe Wooglin 's next door (amazing food and service over there btw). They started out as a good cafe and retro games store I 'm not sure what happened. They removed all their retro games and tore open their walls to replace every inch of walking space with pool tables. I say tore open because it looks like a job they did without any professional help with debris and wires poking out from walls and ceiling. The place is cramped and there is no longer any room for any activities besides pool now.Level Up Coffee and the connecting Raven Retro Games are going through an identity crisis where they are so unsure of what kind of business they want to be they leave their customers wondering the same. Best to take your events somewhere else until they figure it out.
Considering we were 2 of 4 people in the coffee shop I would have hoped the cashier was nicer. Did not feel welcomed tbh
Came in the 1st time today and the owner was there! Ordered a Dirty Chai Sweet and a Breakfast Burrito for lunch (so hard to find past 11am anymore)! I gobbled that burrito up! Was so zesty and delicious! The Dirty Chai is always one of my favorites. But the atmosphere is so eclectic! Truly a spot I want to come for board games or to n out! Talked with the owner a bit more and just the vision he has! It always excites me on how someone wants to serve and share their vision of what they have of the future and the way they want to get there! Highly recommend!
I'm a big coffee drinker and I was looking for something that would give me the energy to level up. I tried the Jeremy and it was delicious. It gave me the energy I needed to get through the day. I would definitely recommend this coffee to anyone who wants to level up.
