Some of the crawfish was good but out of my 5 pounds, about 2 lbs of it was inedible due to being extremely overcooked. Kind of sucks that I paid $34.99 for my crawfish and couldn't even eat about half of it since it just completely fell apart. Their crawfish is also a bit over priced for the area. 7.99 a pound and everything else is extra. I paid almost $5 for sausage to be added in and I received an extremely dry, 6 inch piece of sausage. I'll try their food again but I would avoid them entirely for crawfish.
Dark, incredible roux was the base of the best gumbo I've had outside deep Cajun country or my Aunt Francie's kitchen table. We also ordered an alligator appetizer, perfectly fried and sauced, and a bread bowl filled with buttery jambalaya goodness. Moco Food Hall was interesting, clean, and needs to be filled with happy people.
The crawfish is the best I have had it is a good size. Gumbo is amazing too. Can't wait to go back and try other things. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I went to the Conroe location located on Metcalf Street inside the MoCo Food Hall. Real Louisiana Seafood.
Found myself in Old Town Spring the other day and I was really craving some Gumbo, didn't think I'd find any near by, but by pure coincidence there was this little place. The name itself sparked my curiosity, but in the end after ordering and eating it, I was a bit disappointed, not because it wasn't good, but because it was over so fast. A pint of Gumbo for almost 15 bucks is a little to high end for me, especially because I know a handful of places where I can get a whole lot more for a lot less. The Gumbo could have used some more protein as well, I felt like I had more Roux than anything else. Just two chunks of chicken and a few sausage slices did not satisfy my appetite. Overall, great taste for something so simple. If you have the money to burn, and you love Gumbo it's definitely worth the try, but I don't think I'll be spending 15 bucks at this place again any time soon.
Shrimp platter was great but gumbo tasted burnt and didn’t really enjoy. We will probably try again one day.
