Cafe Dorothy - Coquitlam

This coffee shop in the center of Coquitlam is one of my favorites. They serve excellent coffee and baked goods. I particularly enjoy their sweet potato and strawberry cake (although recently they had a fruit tart instead of the strawberry cake, not sure if this change is permanent). My son loves their cranberry sandwich rolls. The only downside is that since it's located in a shopping center, it can be difficult to find parking at times. The service is good, but it can be slow when they are busy.

I recently had a terrible customer service experience at this restaurant. The Asian man working at the front was not friendly at all and seemed upset with the customers. I'm not sure if he is the owner or a server, but he definitely needs to find a new job. When I asked for my order to go, he seemed annoyed and had to ask me to repeat myself. When I asked a question, his response was somewhat aggressive. Additionally, the prices were high - $8 for an individual espresso and a bread. I will not be returning to this restaurant. It really ruined my afternoon.

The coffee at this restaurant is excellent. The location is decent. The staff is pleasant and the owner was very kind. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly.

If they take a preorder for a cake, please note what they take for each order. if it is for a birthday, it is for a birthday. kerzen and a small birthday sign for a birthday cake they cannot miss. I know you can't put letters on a little cake, and that's not what I'm talking about. the garnishing on the cake, please inform them to every customer in advance the were edible or not. the baker seems to be good. the load must improve some basic things to supplement the abilities of the baker and if not, that is the choice of the owner. I'm not going back to a whole cake anymore. I had three times to load a whole cake out of this. a croissant seems to be a big one with a house made.
