State and Main Saskatoon - Corman Park

Fantastic food, great service and wonderful mood. We ordered the grilled chicken club and fish tacos and none of us left the table hungry. We all agreed that the Pommes are the best we have ever eaten, especially with the side of the Dill dimmer.

Start with the good one. My Thai salad was good, but nothing stellar wanted to order again. The French dip of my friend looked good, weak looking dip. Good fries. Our server didn't even ask if we want a refill on coffee; such a mandatory task...for a server. She didn't ask how our food was. One of the many restaurants where the music and the tables are loud. Choose another restaurant.

The pistachio laugh was just terrible. The pistachio topping was unusable. The sauce was burned on the plate. I returned the meal. The middle well-ribbed eye Steak I then ordered was medium rare to rare. I spent an hour in the bathroom after I was at home. The food made me very sick. I had the pistachios salmon there in June 2020 and it was very good. The cook from last night is not a good cook. The strawberry on the cheesecake was strawberry jam. The whole meal was a waste of money. I'm sick hours later.

I went to State and Main for dinner and ordered the fish tacos with Caesar salad. The tacos were tasty, and I appreciated that they were made with grilled Mahi Mahi instead of being deep fried. The Caesar salad was also delicious, topped with a generous amount of bacon bits. The service was quick and friendly.

We stopped for a quick meal on our way to an event. The service was quick, but we were extremely disappointed with the food. We all ordered steak sandwiches cooked medium with sweet potato fries. What we received was a piece of bread soaked in blood with tough, blue steak on top, accompanied by about 25 cold fries. The steak was so tough that we couldn't even cut it, and it lacked any flavor. We had to ask for HP sauce to try to make it more palatable. We should have complained, but we were in a rush. When we got home, we realized that the meal should have come with 2 sides. We won't be returning to this restaurant.
