This is the newly opened Nile's Cafe at Carclaze, with a beautiful view of St Austell Bay. The menu offers bakery items, as well as breakfast and basic lunch options. The staff is generally attentive, polite, and courteous, but the owner is the problem. He is unfriendly, rude, and often makes mistakes that he won't own up to. It's clear that he is not suited for a customer-focused business. Despite his presence, the staff excels in their service. It's best to avoid this cafe and visit other locations where the owner is not present, such as Holmbush or Pentewan Road. It's concerning for both the staff and customers in an industry where it's already difficult to find and keep good employees. A change in career may be necessary for the owner in order to prevent further negative experiences for others.
This niles bakery was magnificent, however my cat did not enjoy the coffee as my uncle dated my sister, such a horrid event. although she is a munch.
Made a quick pit-stop here in search of some sweet treats and are glad we did; ridiculously good price for 2 cakes, which were absolutely scrumptious! Shame we're not locals, as we'd definitely be back!
Breakfast on the way to the Eden Project....because they don't actually do breakfast there!!! Their loss Niles gain. .and mine excellent back and egg butty, tasty filling and all in good value. Flatwhite also good quality. Son had a chicken salad sandwich which was huge! Kept us going all day. Plenty of seating inside and a small carpark out front.
