The menu may be small, but it is well-curated with delicious options such as hummus, tomato soup, toasties, Greek salad, pasties, and cakes. Each menu item also comes with an interesting historical connection, in line with the café's connection to a museum. The service was excellent and efficient, and they welcome dogs outside. The café is also very accessible for those with mobility issues. Located away from the crowds, this hidden gem in Newquay is a must-visit. Shhhhh!
Fantastic! I have been passing by this restaurant all week during my holiday, and today on a rainy day, we finally decided to go inside. It is charming, very welcoming, serves great coffee, and has delicious scones. It is also very dog-friendly, even offering our spaniel his own "puppy chino." The museum is free to visit and definitely worth checking out as well.
I found this restaurant to be a great discovery. My family and I went there for cream tea. The location was wonderful, and the staff were very welcoming. The cream teas were of good quality and the portion sizes were amazing. I would definitely go back again.
We popped in for a cream tea. Staff super friendly we has two scones which were a great size, lots of clotted cream and the jam was to die for. I could have just ate that The sausage dogs said they also enjoyed the tart we got them
This is our 3rd visit back to The Garden, and feel it may be a habit that my 80 year mother in law won't allow us to break , she nearly had a tantrum when we didn't stop straight away but carried on round the grounds! We did of course go in and order what has become customary... Cream tea. The scones are to die for , whether plain or with currants, lovely sticky jam and a generous dollop of Cornish cream, coupled with a good pot of tea or a very smooth tasting coffee. It is an an absolute treasure of a place, and a must to sample.
