They already sold over one million of their signature flourless nut cake and it’s easy to see why after the first bite. The entire staff is wonderful but if you are lucky to meet Giuseppe Canobbio himself, your experience will be even more perfect.
Stopped by for a late afternoon glass of wine. The place is very homely and the staff are welcoming. Speaking English even in such an out-of-the-way place is no problem. This is hazelnut heaven and people like me with hazelnut allergies should be a little careful. But there is lots to eat besides hazelnuts.
Definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Cortemilia! After the friendly bar tender had served us a mean Negroni sbagliato, we stocked up on sweets and had a very nice chat with 'il re della torta di nocciole ' himself: a very warm, charming man, who is as sweet as his pastry.
We happened in this place probably led by our innate instinct for dessert and we were not disappointed. located in a large place probably oato as warehouse or stable, the resale opens on a beautiful square at the foot of the castle. there are fantastic hazelnut cakes without flour (good and consumed in a baptizer) and any sweet, cream spread with hazelnuts, as well as many other local foods. the service is courteous and the average prices of many other shops in the area.
We decided to come to this pastry shop to bring home a typical local product, the hazelnut! we found various products from the cake, to the hazelnut cream cookies. everything really good and fresh and you pull the other. courtesy and friendliness of the staff have completed everything. recommended and definitely return!
