Pastries Of Denmark - Creve Coeur

Pricey!! So pricey. My daughter just returned from Denmark…these aren't true Danish pastries. On the Hill the pastries are so authentic!

I was surprised at how dingy and depressing the atmosphere is here. I had long heard about this shop and thought it would have more ambient character. There is no music and one can only hear the whirring of the pastry display case refrigerators. Not a good place to enjoy a pastry and tea or coffee, in my opinion. I arrived to the store at 2:30pm. It was quiet and I was greeted very kindly at the door. Staff was extremely helpful. I ordered the Blackberry dream. The pastry was delicious!

I had a croissant, egg and sausage sandwich and it was delicious!!! I also had a cafe latte which was really good too. I’m would recommend and plan on visiting again. My mom had the same and she had the sane. She thought it was the best one she ever had.

This is exactly what a bakery should be. Well made savories, well made coffee and well made sweets. What else do you need? The omelet was a bit overdone which I like occasionally and had liberal tasty toppings. Veggie omelette had cheese crisped on the side and great quality mushrooms and olives. Well done. Rum ball was ok, and underwhelmed compared to the rest of the meal. All in all, plenty there to go and discover yourself.
