Emek Kebab - Croydon

I am a kebab expert. Get a chicken shish chips and salad. Extra white cabbage. A pot of chilli and a can of coke. You won’t find a better shish in London. Superb. Friendly. Consistent. A*

An order was placed for a kebab without the Pitta Bread due to an intolerance to the bread. The order arrived with breaded product/ Pitata So Emek, did not read the notes on the order. Contacted Emek by phone who couldn’t replace and couldn’t refund the order. They then proceeded to blame the customer that we should have made it clearer. I’m not sure how no pitta/ bread but extra pickles isn’t clear enough in the notes. The restaurant proceeded for a further 5 minutes to not understand our postcode the order came from. 10 minutes of call, we’re not getting much further. Advised the issue couldn’t be resolved as no delivery drivers to correct the error. We were then asked to make an order for a can of coke to deliver a replacement but couldn’t as the app didn’t allow it. Eventually the issue was resolved. By this point the chips were cold my partners kebab was cold. It was just ok a bit of s**t show to be honest! Advise- don’t order from this place online if you have any specific requirements or requests. The notes are not read on the order and you will be asked to travel 1.5 miles to collect your order. Takes away the point of ordering in in the first place really!

I have been dining at Emek for 25 years now. I have tried many kebab places, but none can compare to Emek. The food is consistently delicious, their chili sauce is fantastic, and the staff are always friendly.

Make the trip to this restaurant, even at odd hours - it's worth it! The management is top-notch and they don't skimp on the fresh salads.

Ordered via Uber eats and part of my order never showed o. Called restaurant and they refused to do anything about it and told me the driver must have stole it! BEWARE of this restaurant!
