Fat Thursday - Croydon

I drove 30 minutes to take my mother and my new girlfriend to try Polish cuisine, only to find out that the restaurant no longer exists. Such a disappointment.

As someone who enjoys Polish cuisine and has visited many Polish restaurants over the years, I was highly impressed with the quality of the food at this establishment. In my experience, many places in London have fallen short of expectations, but this one exceeded them. The owners were incredibly friendly and allowed us to sample a wide variety of dishes from the menu. The food was delicious and I believe this restaurant is a valuable addition to the market.

We discovered a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Surrey Street market that serves delicious Polish food. We tried the Bigos and were so impressed that we returned for more snacks. Despite having to wait in line while the local Polish community and other customers placed their orders, we were captivated by watching the staff prepare and serve the food. In addition to the flavorful Bigos, we also enjoyed some delicious Pierogi. The prices were reasonable and much better than the nearby fast food options. We definitely plan on returning to this amazing restaurant.

I have been there to try pierogis and cake as I was away from home and really wanted a homemade meal. I have to say noone had ever made better pierogi than my mum but Fat Thursday have managed to come extremely close to my favourite meal. They are really good value for money too! The owners are a really lovely couple so you will feel very welcome and you can be sure you will get a good service. Thank you for brining my childhood memories back!
