We really enjoyed having lunch here and would highly recommend the pote asturiano. The restaurant is in a lovely town and is the perfect place to visit after a walk in the cabo vidio.
Incredibly good food which seems to be the norm in this part of Asturias in an unassuming little restaurant and terrace, en route to the coastal path in Cabo de Vidio, serving excellent food based on the very best local, seasonal ingredients (so not cheap but worth the price). We had the waiter 's recommendations 'zamburiñas ' (Small scallops) very good, followed by wild, hand caught sea bass out of this world! The charcoal grilled veg were pretty normal, but the desserts were delicious Homemade Tirami su and Cheese cake! Our waiter was very friendly, attentive and professional. We will definitely return, if we 're in the area.
It was time to get off the autoroute for lunch. We picked the restaurant with the most cars parked. We had the best meal of our trip at Restaurant El Cafe, a lucky find. The fabada with clams was spectacular as was the hake with vegetables. The restaurant was bright and pristine and the sole waitress exceptionally attentive. She very much wanted us to enjoy our lunch. From the restaurant find your way down to the ocean to watch the waves pound the boulder beach.
