La Guelaguetza - Cuernavaca

I have visited this restaurant for over 30 years on every trip to Cuernavaca and it is still excellent. Reviews of one of the best restaurants in Cuernavaca. Certainly the best price-quality ratio of all the restaurants I know in Cuernavaca and... although I'm Dutch, I can know because I lived in Cuernavaca for many months. Do not expect adaptations to the western taste or smell buds. But even if you do not dare to try the different insects like ants and fresh agave butterfly larvae, you should try the grasshoppers (capulines). Extremely friendly staff, they will forgive you if your Spanish is not very good. In summary, therefore, a must go when you are in genuine authentic Mexican foods and have no time to visit Oaxaca. For the Mexican travel advisor readers: the food could be as good as your grandmother prepared it, but my friends from Mexico tell me it comes close to some dishes.

If you have a desire for Tlayudas, Chapulines, Tasajo, Mole Negro, Coloradito, etc. This is the place to come and pamper your taste buds. Don't miss it!

La comida es muy muy buena, los tacos villamelon son muy recomendables al igual que el tasajo que es de muy buen tamaño (dos personas que comen normal). Además taquitos de chapulines con quesillo, servidos en tortillas de maíz como entrada es de lo mejor. Lo único malo es que a pesar de que hay letreros de prohibido fumar, algunas personas suelen fumar dentro del lugar y eso puede ser muy molesto cuando se está comiendo.

Muy buen lugar para comer, cuenta con servicio de estacionamiento y la comida muy buena, los chapulines son lo mejor!

Típico restaurante estilo Oaxaqueño ,con excelente comida,los chapulines magnificos,el tasajo y el mezcal !! Excelente servicio del mesero Jose Luis. Muy buena opción para comer rico y a un buen precio.
