Feedback gevenUnfortunately I have to give a bad review this time. We have been spending the autumn period (end of August to end of October) in Dahme at the Stieglitz campsite for 4 years. We were always satisfied that the wash house was in urgent need of renovation since our first stay and they were trying to come to terms with it. This year, however, everything was different. After we had set up on Hallerplatz, we learned from other campers that the site would be closed at the end of the season. With that the chaos began. The permanent parking spaces were dismantled everywhere and the wheel loader left the site almost every day, including on Sundays and during lunchtime. As a result, the paths became so disjointed that it was hardly possible to walk without rubber boots. What made things even more difficult was that the path lighting didn't work, so we asked the reception more and more that perhaps solar lamps or something similar could be installed. Without success. So always have a flashlight on hand so you can find your caravan again. Things got really nice when a rabbit died next to our caravan and the friendly groundskeeper drove around it with the lawn mower but didn't dispose of it. After returning to the caravan for 2 weeks there was a not so nice cloud of smell in the caravan. Thank you. The washhouse also put on a winter coat this year, so much so that even my 13-year-old son said that he would rather shower at home than be attacked by mold here. When the storm surge with the hurricane came looking for us, we stood pretty deserted in the last corner and nobody even looked at us or asked if we needed anything. It's all a bit sad. On the last day we talked to reception and poured our hearts out. The nice lady was very understanding and definitely passed it on to the boss. Unfortunately we haven't heard from him yet. A pity. And all of this for another €100 more. We actually expected more performance for the price, not less. Conclusion; Much is promised, very little is delivered. We are drawn there every year ONLY because of the beautiful location. The location is unique. Rooms: 2 Service: 1 Location: 5
We bought something from campers there via eBay classifieds, dozens of whom had their notices canceled from August to October. All long-term campers who have invested so much and now have to clear everything out. Humanly and financially an absolute disaster. What the campers told us brings tears to your eyes. The question arises as to how some people can still look in the mirror.
Unfortunately we're here during a storm, but it's great fun... Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly, Great value
We were at the Stieglitz campsite for a long time and had to deal with the outdated (but clean thanks to the very careful couple cleaning staff) wash houses, no lighting on the paths, no functioning barrier and therefore no lunch break, cars driving way too fast (also employees), no water connection Promised in 2008...accepted. The reason: beautiful surroundings, good location on the Baltic Sea and, after 15 years, family and friendly connections. Of course, we also paid our contribution during Corona times and perhaps kept Mr. Stieglitz afloat. The reasons why the long term campers have to leave don't matter Mr. Stieglitz's handling of it is a different story. Disposal of small electrical items 5€, 4 stone slabs 10€ etc... seriously? Mr. Stieglitz completely lacks the social, empathetic side and, in contrast to the mostly very friendly employees, his only interest seems to be money. I hope for all long term campers and vacationers that this attitude does not affect the operation of the campsite, which should now be much nicer.
I was there until yesterday and I have to say that almost all of the employees are very friendly. Especially the ones in the dike shop. However, that was it. The space and the sanitary facilities are clean, but completely outdated. The shower stalls are only held together by the color from spring and two of the seven shower stalls are completely closed for repairs. Since a site with long-term campers has to be evacuated, it is rumored because of money, it is very uneasy on the site. The first vans drive onto the square at 7:30 in the morning and this continues until it gets dark. When we asked the reception whether this was necessary, we were told that unfortunately there was no other way at the moment. The paths also consist mainly of potholes, which is probably due to the heavy traffic and no one was adhering to the speed limit on the site. Not even the employees. My conclusion is that I will no longer go on vacation to this place, even though it is beautifully located on the Baltic Sea with a great beach and the Dahme promenade is not far away. But luckily there are other places nearby.
