Aveo Table At The Monarch Beach Resort

Patio is the Inside is just ok...bar fabulous, and prices a bit high bit overall a nice experience if you enjoy the outside.

Sadly was one of the most unappetizing meals I’ve ate in a very long time. Extremely dry and overcooked mahi mahi and the brocollini wasn’t edible period as it was completely raw. The sashimi appetizer prior lacked any flavor as well sadly. However our server was the sweetest and most attentive so we enjoyed ourselves thanks to him. But an overhaul of the menu would raise the bar.

Less than impressed with the whole experience. Slow service for a mostly empty restaurant. Food came cold when it finally arrived. Meh…

View and setting is great but the food is a little overpriced. You just have to understand that you’re paying for the exceptional view and a nice time out all the food selections we’ve tried so far have been good but still not worth the pricing.

We had high hopes for Aveo Table but were disappointed in our dinner. The crab appetizer and cocktails were excellent. The service was pleasant but impersonal and our server rarely checked on us. We had to ask for silverware between courses, water and butter for the bread. The Caesar salad was ok but severed with uncut bunches of leaves and they forgot to leave off the dead anchovies. The hamburger was ok, but they did not cook it correctly we asked for medium well and got rare. The salmon was fine but not much flavor. Their wines by the glass are limited and most are foreign and not familiar to us. The Heitz cab we ordered was served a bit warm and it did not taste fresh. For $250, we expected a lot more than just a view of the ocean. We will not likely return but did enjoy the view and hope this restaurant can get it together in the future.
