I had eggs, pancakes and ham..the buttermilk pancakes were excellent and the ham was thick cut, juicy and tender. My husband had the Eagles Nest and said it was very good. We definitely would return on our next time thru!
Lots of potential here. Great location, nice Mom/Pop type place. Short staffed for a Saturday but that's the norm post Covid. Food wasn't cooked BF had an omelet which he said was tasty but was soft/runny on the inside. I ordered two over medium eggs with hashbrowns. The entire plate was clear egg white running into half fried hashbrowns and the yolks looked like they barely hit the griddle. Rye toast was delish but not much more to say.
I waited 55 minutes for my food. Was told it was because a party of 13 were ahead of me. But even the 13 people in that party waited a long time, then were served one-by-one. The people who got their meals first were done eating before their friends at the same table even got their meals. I overheard the waitress tell them that they could only make two omelettes at a time.
Beautiful view, friendly waitstaff, rustic atmosphere and the country fried steak eggs was
This place has seriously gone downhill. Go to Beth’s in Nelson if you’re actually hungry and want to eat. The service was non-existent. Had to go up to ask for a menu. Had to place order at register after not being acknowledged for 15 minutes. Had to ask the dirty dishes from previous customer be removed from our table about 20 minutes. Asked how much longer our order would be after 45 minutes and was told there were 5 orders ahead of ours yet and the place isn’t even that big! There were no apologies or concern expressed by wait staff. Saw other customers have to get up and find their own to-go boxes. Was a birthday tradition for several years for my dad and I to come here each June. You couldn’t pay me to go back!
