My husband went there Friday with guys from work for the first time and he loved it so much we went there Saturday for lunch. The food is pretty good and is reasonably priced along with their drinks. On the outside it looks pretty small but is defintely spacious on the inside. We will defintely be back! The staff there is also very nice.
If you're in Dekalb and looking for an awesome deal on ice cold beer and delicious food, you've got to stop at Twins. It's an old fashioned tavern type of bar with plenty of duck decor and vintage beer signs. It takes you from corn country to a bar up north. The prices cannot be beat for under $30 for two people, we got a sandwich, a side of fries, and two beers for both of us. My husband can't visit Twins without ordering a double cheeseburger. I have tried a good portion of their sandwich options and have never been disappointed. My favorite so far has been the pork tenderloin. They have a great fish fry, their wings and appetizers are decent, but we like the sandwiches and burgers the best. I've heard a few good things about the pot roast sandwich but haven't had it yet maybe next time. If you sit at a table, the server brings you popcorn. They have a few large TVs behind the bar if you wanted to stop in and watch a game. It's not the fanciest of establishments but it is always a good choice if you want a night out without breaking the bank.
I needed an Ol ' School Tavern fix. And not any run of the mill dive, but a serious representation where your head is on a swivel just taking it all in. That kinda Tavern. This is a Townie Bar where people congregate to catch a buzz, but will tell you straight faced that the food is just as much an attraction as anything else. And who am I to dispute anyplace famous for a Pot Roast Sandwich. Twin Tavern is a throw back joint that doesn 't ask a damn thing from you other than to enjoy what they have to offer.. 'a bar that serves food '. I 'm not gonna say Twin Tavern delivers a 5-Star menu because it doesn 't. It 's a vintage neighborhood bar that knows a thing or two about booze and offers up a classic Patty Melt to sop it up. That 's neighborly.
Every time we eat here I have the same meal smoked beef brisket, my kid always gets Hotdog and macaroni and cheese
