Lorina's Cantina - Del Rio

This place has a wonderful old-school vibe, perfect for enjoying a beer. However, the only downside is that smoking is still allowed in the lower area.

As a truck driver, I can confidently say this is a fantastic place. I found plenty of space to park my rig on the side of the main road, and they even offered 24-hour parking for free. The food was excellent, the drinks were strong, and the service was outstanding—all at reasonable prices. I would rate it a perfect 10/10. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by. They truly appreciate truck drivers and our business!

Feeling disappointed, we decided to keep looking and ended up at BLUE OASIS, which is a bit further down after exiting the West. It was definitely worth the extra effort! We really enjoyed the Texas Nachos and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, along with excellent service.

Cool place. Liz the bartender was super fun and friendly. Locals were very nice and welcoming.

Only 4 stars due to some of the wait staff not knowing how to make mixed drinks on different occasions. 1st time was when a Brass Monkey was ordered. I was told that they didn't know how to make that. REALLY?1? You can look it up on Google you know. I'm sure you can find how to make one. The second time was when an Old Fashioned was ordered and was presented with a bourbon on the rocks. Okay...C'mon use that cell phone you're always carrying around to find out how to make that drink when you don't know. I must state that not all wait staff are unfamiliar with mixing up drinks. Jorge was excellent in his service and always checked on how things were going for our party. Steak night has also always been excellent with steaks cooked to perfection and cheesy potatoes a very good side.
