I think this must have changed quite a bit since the previous reviews. Five seniors had dinner here last night at the recommendation of a friend who was not able to join us. He told us that the current owners are the third owners, who have restored the restaurant's excellent credentials. This place is small (six or so tables? , is mostly for take out, and we were concerned we would not get in around 7pm on Friday night, but we were the only eat in customers until just before we left, when another table was occupied. There were several orders waiting for pick up. We all were happy with our choices. I had the Spicy tuna delight appetizer Tuna, avocado, crab meat, green onion, yam tempura with spicy mayo. I think there was not avocado, but the portion was so large, attractive and tasty that it totally surpassed my expectations. I also had a salmon nigiri that was local free run (I forget the term . My friends were pleased with their dinner boxes, teriyakis and sushi combo with black rice. The server was very attentive, and when we paid with credit cards, she stepped noticeably away from the table when we were paying, but came right back to help one person who was having trouble.
Best yam tempura and the fact that I can get soy wraps instead of seaweed for my vegetarian sushi is amazing. Highly recommend! My go-to always <3
Beautiful spot, the folks that run this place are brilliant. Great service and the chefs are incredible. If you haven't gone here to sit down and eat, I'd recommend it.Food: 5/5
