Mercury Cafe - Denver

Mercury cafe’s open microphone is probably my favorites I have ever been. what an iconic place. it is beautiful to look at, spacious, unique, water-conscious, comfortable. they have a great tee selection and dance up.

After another local restaurant from their commitment to host several fringe shows, this hotel housed them! bravo!

This review is for the dance floor in the upper floor. it was very nicely rebuilt and feels more open than before. it has the original hardwood floors, fun decor, lots of mood lighting, a large stage, tables and seating, and a large bar. the new sound system and DJ stand are great for dance events. even if it has changed its own, it is still the home of the lindy Hop swing and the long-running weekly dance in colorado!

Really cool room! nice and creatiw. great eating. only negatiw was the service that was very slow and not attentive. improve the service and its 10 outta 10!

It's a cool spot for drinks and food, great staff and service, but if you're going for the open mic on Wednesdays, best of luck to you. It s from 9-12, they have a lottery system so no matter what time you show up to sign up you will get assigned a random order to pick your slot. They also allow more people than they have time for, so you could show up on time and not even get to play. They don't tell you that either. Pretty whack because if you allow ten minute sets and you have 3 hours then you know how many people you have time for. Not cool to waste people's time letting them think they're getting a slot. Do better.
