I thought the wine couples were in the square, and I guess they were mostly northwest wines that I didn't taste before, and we're going to Oregon wine country on a semi-regular cadence.... so we have now added some wineries to our list. We loved the tataki with albacore; a really great take on a traditional Japanese dish. Did not love the ling cod so much, but I liked it was local, and go on and try to make cod interesting, I dare you. The Wagyu is American Wagyu, so it's just Steak, but it was dressed and very well presented, and I thought the "poority" was perfect. This is the best you can get without ordering frozen steaks from Japan. Everything was nicely plated and our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant, which was a great addition to the experience. It seemed that it really is a bad place in the house, as far as the view goes, but we certainly enjoyed our window seat view, so I recommended that in your reservation.
Beautiful location that invites you in a relaxing and intimate environment with exceptional views. Oh, and the quality of foods with attention to texture and taste are first class. If you appreciate fine food and are close to Depoe Bay, Newport or Lincoln City, is this a must experience?
Had only an amazing four course tasting menu with wine pairing. Beautiful view and beautiful service of Julia. Everything was top notch. Unique aromas you do not want to miss.
Holy cow. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and restaurant Beck not disappointed. It is, but everything is so artistically prepared in works of culinary excellence. Unique pairings and fresh aromas ignite your senses and make you speechless. Oh, and the homemade bread is to die! If you really remember a?experience? (plus beautiful views in a romantic environment), don?t overlook this place. It's a 5-star look!
Wow. Just wow. Easily the best food and fancy treatment on the Oregon coast. This was the jewel of our vacation! Every course brought ooohhs and awwws and the best of ________ I 've ever had . First, the simple warm focaccia was the pinnacle of bread. The Wahoo (Yellowtail) Crudo (carpaccio/raw) was life-changingly good with bright rhubarb bits and chive oil shining through. Second course we had literally fork-tender bavette (aged flat iron steak) with wild-foraged morels and then a slap-your-grandmother good meltingly tender lingcod on a smear of roasted cauliflower puree that was nutty and rich and wow! Dessert brought a dark, rich (almost chocolate notes) blackberry creme brulee, an amazing dense almond cake with crunchy malted magic on top and smoked ice cream along side, dessert three was a dense rich crema in a strawberry coulee. Add in perfect service, great wine and cocktails, an amazing view complete with whales and eagles. Gasp.
