We booked last minute. everything was excellent. one of my fav local places to eat. beautiful wood burner size selection. all freshly cooked.

The starter of chicken strips with paprika was too much. two pieces of chicken would have been abundant. the bark bourgignon was very disappointing. smallest pieces of bark that are crushed and not much taste. Of course, it didn't taste like he had red wine in. since eating the main reason is to eat, we would not recommend it, I fear

Have visited this pub several times recently. always had a really nice time. I like the atmosphere, it's like pubs used to be in front of the C word. the staff was always very helpful, eating is plentiful, and I think reasonably expensive. I wish I was a little closer, then I could have it as my native.

We came here accidentally (Gressenhall Museum was closed, so we came to the village to park and popped in for coffee). Then our walk to Swanton Morley went very pear-shaped (footpath closed with a long diversion). So we cancelled our lunch booking there and returned to the warm welcoming Swan! We were glad we did, it is beautiful inside, the food was really excellent with generous portions, service very friendly and helpful. Food prices on the high side but we didn't feel it was unreasonable for what we had. We didn't know it was a community pub and will try to support it again, though we are not very local. It is clearly very professionally run.
